Day Dream Daemon
DDD (Day Dream Daemon) is a set of libraries for the simulation of complex manufacturing environments, designed to be easily integrated in customized solution suited to the user needs.
The DDD libraries offer an innovative, integrated and easy 3D simulation tool ready to be used and low cost: the challenge is to exploit the capabilities of modern 3D environments and, at the same time, promote the usage of 3D simulation from the design phase to the entire machine life cycle.
The DDD simulation environment is conceived to represent machinery and production line in a 3D virtual environment and mimic the system behaviour providing the framework for the visualization of machine tasks: the goal is to increment the realism level of traditional simulations fostering, in the meanwhile, the diffusion of this as an hi adding value tool in small and medium enterprises.
DDD supports different simulation levels, both the kinematics (with the capability of solving the kinematics for complex machine chains) and the process physics one (mechanical operation with real-time material removal).
This libraries are based on a modular architecture that makes them scalable and adaptable to the different customer requirements. They provides real time surface modification, collision detection and offers the direct interfacing possibilities trough direct method calls.
DDD libraries are the base for IceCube suite tools.
