IceCube

IceCube is an integrated environment that creates a totally new point of view on the usage possibilities of 3D animation and simulation, in particular for the manufacturing sector. The platform finds a huge number of applications in the system design, assembling, usage, maintenance and training, being particularly effective as business and marketing support tool.

The IceCube suite is composed by five modular and integrable applications:

  • IceCube Builder to create effective 3D animations and presentations to satisfy the most demanding users. The application allow to accompany the realistic 3D animations with the more common 2D objects. The editing is facilitated by drag&drop functionalities and the immediate preview allow to validate in real time the result.
  • IceCube Player to view the animations on each common PC, independently from the operative system. Thanks to a set of libraries, gestures and ad-hoc graphical interfaces, is it possible to enjoy the presentations on innovative multi-touch devices, achieving an unbeatable interaction level.
  • IceCube WebView wins the web challenge allowing the animations be available in a standard HTML page without any effort on adapting the animation sequences. Such a tool becomes particularly useful in different application contexts: the possibility to share through the web training sequences, maintenance manuals or enrich the company and sector sites with marketing presentation or catalogues is a precious adding value.
  • IceCube Machine is dedicated to the machining production context. Using the same model realized for the animation it is possible to verify kinematics, detect collision in the machine movement, validate the tool working process (with a real time surface modification engine), evaluate the machine timing, etc.
  • IceCube Collaborate allow the distributed and collaborative editing of a factory productive line layout. The distributed multi-user collaboration and the multi-touch devices support expand the cooperation possibilities. The editing simplicity, the integration of discrete event simulation (DES) capabilities and the central management of the layout components catalogue are the key features of this solution.
